Something I intend doing, so that I can think and write about it from this particular place in time (and &#8216;place in time&#8217; is at the essence of this work). One really just has to contemplate the language and concerns in our every day &#8211; gendered and fluid, and in accord with biology some would say &#8211; to recognise in the radical Woolf a version of ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/stolb01web.ddns.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/csm_Orlando_124922_SZENE_aea07d6d6e.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1137\" width=\"241\" height=\"138\"\/><figcaption>Scene from <em>Olga Neuwirth<\/em>&#8216;s ORLANDO <em>Auftragswerk der Wiener Staatsoper<\/em>Opera&nbsp;\u00a9 Wiener Staatsoper<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certainly I am not alone in pondering again this extraordinary work;  Tilda Swindon does it a lot and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"again recently (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/nyti.ms\/2VJKJUS\" target=\"_blank\">again recently<\/a>, and just this year there has been a Katie Mitchell <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"stage adaptation in Berlin (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.schaubuehne.de\/en\/productions\/orlando.html\" target=\"_blank\">stage adaptation in Berlin<\/a> and Paris (and in London next year).
